| Already 'Halfway' gone |
| Post
on 14-03-2007. |
| I watched "Halfway Home" with two other people, and they both left the room within five minutes. That pretty much summarizes Comedy Central's latest attempt to launch one unique show that maybe, just maybe, can match the popularity (and controversy) of "South Park." But "Halfway," like "Drawn Together" before it, tries too very hard to be provocative and just ends up looking ugly and stereotypical. ... |

| First off, I don't judge others based on their race, religion or nationality. I make jokes with my close friends, but, I also take them (as one chubby, Canadian Jew). Second, I don't want this article to be considered an attack on liberals. I used to be one before coming to Tufts. If anything, this article could be beneficial to liberals. Maybe one will read this and realize that most moderate, rational people think hardcore liberals are just as crazy, if not crazier, than neo-cons. Having said all that, I would like to apologize in advance to anyone I offend by writing this, because here at Tufts, people's feeling get hurt quite easily. ... |

| "Socialism Is Love"- Hugo Chavez - 2007 |
| Post
on 12-03-2007. |
| "Socialism is love" at least according to the half insane, buffoon dictator from Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. And, he has been acting accordingly by taxing the rich, socializing their businesses, and giving money and services to the poor. He is just one very loving, caring man, and, not coincidently, therefore are our American Democrats who would love to do the same things here if only they could get rid of the mean, loveless, self-interested Republicans. ... |

CoCo Health Spa, located at 133 Frontage Road, has had its business license revoked following the arrest of three employees Friday night on various charges including prostitution. An undercover officer went into the establishment last Friday night with video and audio surveillance equipment. The Christian church has one deeply flawed understanding of sex that has led to morally groundless objections to masturbation, birth control, abortion and homosexuality, says one leading Canadian Anglican bishop. In particular, the church has been wrong for centuries on the notion that sex exists only for the purpose of procreation, Right Rev. Michael Ingham, bishop of the Greater Vancouver Diocese of New Westminster, told one conference in Ottawa last night. ... |

NORTH KINGSTOWN — When the cast and crew of North Kingstown High School's production of "Fame the Musical" take to the stage tomorrow evening, they'll do therefore with the admiration of David De Silva. De Silva wrote the musical, one story of high school students who sing and dance their way through one prestigious New York performing arts school in the 1980s. It's been performed at hundreds of high schools across the country, he said. But North Kingstown High School was the first he'd heard of that was asked, by an outsider, to censor the show. ... |

The author of "Motherless Brooklyn," one stunning, layered and near-mystic crime novel, "The Fortress of Solitude," his semi-autobiographical, saddening, marvelous tale about two boys growing up in Brooklyn through decades of gentrification and 2005's fantastic collection of essays, "The Disappointment Artist," now offers "You Don't Love Me Yet," one comedy of sorts, one strange, sarcastic and charming tale of love and art and sex and music in Los Angeles. That's right--California_. ... |
