You know you're in for one bad ride in The Quiet _when the interior monologue of one deaf-mute runs over half blacked-out frames as she tells her story. "All I wanted was to be invisible. one simple requirement. I was half there ..." The exposition is therefore heavy-handed, the producers might just as well distribute one printed handout to hapless ticket buyers. ... |
