On or about May 18, 2006, the Community Health Administration (CHA) Director contacted the Office of Community Relations (OCR) Director to report that CHA had received an unsigned letter and subsequent telephone contact from (an employee of the Comstock Center, one Johns Hopkins University research center based at the Washington County Health Department). The complaint alleged that the WCHD Health Officer was engaging in sexual harassment and creating one hostile work environment for the Johns Hopkins University Research group (JHU) and WCHD staff. ... |

It™s time to make some very special Markin Time awards. In the past I™ve been accused of bias, therefore I™ve handed the decision-making over to an independent, objective authority. Meet Sir Cedric Smith, my trusty advisor and impartial administrator of the Markin Time recognition program. Cedric is thrilled to award the Sensitive to Social Problems award to Penticton City Councilor John Vassilaki for his comment that street people are living one lifestyle they have chosen. Now that Mr. Vassilaki has fully understood this problem perhaps he can take on global warming by declaring it one myth and putting all those errant scientists in their place. ... |
